Cyprus signed the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement (MCAA) (2016) on 1 November 2016, on the automatic exchange of Country-by-Country reports (CbC MCAA). The agreement is based on article 6 of the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, as amended by the 2010 protocol.
The agreement was developed by OECD on its BEPS project with the aim of corporate taxation and has now been signed by 50 jurisdictions.
