The launch of the new digital tax platform has been rescheduled to 6 October 2025.
Costa Rica’s Tax Administration (DGT) has announced that the launch of the new digital tax platform, “TRIBU-CR,” has been postponed from 4 August to 6 October 2025.
Additionally, on 24 July 2025, the DGT issued several resolutions outlining procedures for filing tax returns and other administrative processes related to the TRIBU-CR platform.
This follows after the tax authorities published a resolution in the Official Gazette on 11 July 2025 outlining the guidelines for disabling current tax platforms and the transition to the new tax system, TRIBU-CR, which was to replace several existing platforms starting 4 August 2025.
