In China, with respect to the administration of the entry and exit of foreign individuals new rules and processes are to be applied.
The new ordinance (“Ordinance on the Administration of Entry and Exit of Foreign Individuals in China.”) is effective 1 September 2013. The new ordinance is intended to standardize the issuance of visas and also to provide for effective governance of short-term and long-term stays by foreign individuals in China. Individuals working and doing business in China will therefore need to familiarize themselves with the new rules.
