On 5 November 2019, the Finance Ministry and Senate Finance Committee made an announcement that they have come up with an agreement regarding important changes on tax reform package, which was approved by the Chamber of Deputies on 23 August 2019. Some modifications are given below:
- The project adds a tax for the properties with the highest tax assessment.
- The reintegration of the system between corporate and individual taxpayers, which prevents the reduction of taxes to the richest in the country.
- It introduces a new tax for the highest real estate assets.
- The agreement establishes that the tax on digital platforms, such as Netflix or Sportify, be maintained, among others.
