Canada has extended its tariff-free policy for Ukrainian imports for another year, keeping Ukrainian goods free from customs duties until 9 June 2026.

Canada’s Department of Finance announced on 6 June 2025 that it will continue to support Ukraine’s economy by extending the tariff-free importation of Ukrainian goods into Canada for one year. This ensures that products imported from Ukraine will remain free from customs duties until 9 June 2026.

Canada remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine as it fights to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and democracy. The conflict initiated by Russia, with the backing of Belarus, continues to severely impact Ukraine’s economy, including its ability to export goods globally.

Since the Ukraine Goods Remission Order was issued on 9 June 2022, Canada has imported over CAD 35 million in goods from Ukraine, with CAD 8.5 million in customs duties remitted. The extension is expected to generate approximately CAD 1.2 million in duties remitted from 10 June 2025 to 9 June 2026.
