Cameroon President Paul Biya has completed the ratification of an income tax treaty with the Czech Republic on 2 May 2025.
Signed on 7 February 2023, it is the first agreement of its kind between the two nations. It aims to eliminate double taxation on income and prevent tax evasion and avoidance between Cameroon and the Czech Republic.
It will take effect once ratification instruments are exchanged and apply from 1 January of the following year.
Earlier, Cameroon’s Senate approved the law to ratify the income tax treaty with the Czech Republic on 8 April 2025.
