Brazil’s Senate has ratified the new income tax treaty with Norway on 17 December 2024.
This agreement will replace the 1980 tax treaty between Brazil and Norway after taking effect.
Signed on 4 November 2022, the agreement with Norway aims at avoiding double taxation of income and preventing tax evasion and avoidance. The treaty will take effect on 1 January 2025 following the exchange of ratification instruments.
