Brazil’s Inland Revenue provided four fiscal simplification measures aimed at reducing costs for businesses and enhancing the business environment of the country on 7th August 2017 at a meeting and those are given below:

  1. Improving the country’s centralized tax filing system to share information among the various tax authorities, reducing compliance with costs, and making tax collection more efficient
  2. Centralization of the control system for electronic services offered by companies in Brazil
  3. Centralization of tax obligations and elimination of the many regional declaration requirements and forms. Within the framework of the plans, the information would have to be provided only through the central system and not at the regional level
  4. Harmonization of customs control obligations with compliance.
