Bolivia’s National Tax Service has enabled companies to apply online for tax residence or domicile certificates through SIAT Online, simplifying documentation requirements under double taxation avoidance agreements.

Bolivia’s tax authority, the National Tax Service (SIN) announced, on 21 October 2026, that companies that need to prove their tax residence or domicile for the agreements to avoid double taxation (CDI) can now do so online.

They will have to enter the required details and send supporting documents to the Tax Administration through SIAT Online.

Applicants will have to log in to SIAT Online with their credentials and open the National Taxpayer Registry (RNC). They will have to select  “CDI Accreditation Request,” complete the form, and upload the tax domicile or residence certificate along with the apostilled document.

Original documents must be in PDF format.

Once the system generates a transaction number, the application is confirmed. The Tax Administration will then send the “Proof of Residence or Tax Domicile for the Application of Agreements to Avoid Double Taxation” form to the taxpayer’s email address and Tax Mailbox.

The National Tax Service says the change helps companies meet the requirements linked to Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements. The move also makes the process more accessible through digital tools.

The change aims to modernise how a company’s residence, tax domicile or effective management headquarters is accredited. Digital tools reduce paperwork and make the procedure easier to manage.

The facility comes from Regulatory Board Resolution (RND) No. 102600000040, issued on 19 October 2026. It amends the procedure in RND No. 10170000030 of 2017, which applies Article 8 of the Conventions to Avoid Double Taxation.
