Belarus’ House of Representatives approved the ratification of a trade and investment agreement with China on 10 January 2025, following its submission by the Council of Ministers in December 2024. Originally signed in Minsk on 22 August 2024, the agreement aims to establish a free trade zone in services, expand bilateral trade, and enhance investment transparency.

This announcement was made by the Belarusian Telegraph Agency on 13 March 2025.

The agreement sets out regulations for trade in services, investment, and the movement of specific individuals while covering cooperation in areas such as e-commerce, intellectual property, and competition.

It also includes dispute resolution mechanisms for trade and investment-related matters. By ensuring stable and predictable business conditions, the deal is expected to increase trade flows and investment opportunities, benefiting the Belarusian economy.
