Bangladesh and Kosovo have agreed to work towards the early conclusion of an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation following bilateral consultations in Prishtina on 13 August 2026.
Bangladesh and Kosovo have agreed to work towards the early conclusion of a tax treaty, according to a joint communiqué issued on 13 August 2026.
The commitment was made during the Second Foreign Office Consultations held in Prishtina between officials from the two countries. The talks covered bilateral relations and economic cooperation.
The two sides agreed to advance agreements currently under negotiation, particularly those related to economic cooperation and the avoidance of double taxation.
They also identified scope for increased trade and investment, alongside cooperation in information and communication technology, tourism, agriculture and labour mobility.
The agreement is part of efforts to strengthen the economic relationship between Bangladesh and Kosovo, with the countries scheduled to hold their Third Foreign Office Consultations in Dhaka in 2027.
