Argentina and Vietnam have initiated negotiations for an income tax treaty. The aim of establishing a double tax treaty is to eliminate double taxation and avoidance of tax evasion between the two countries. Both nations seek to align this tax treaty with modern international standards, thereby establishing a solid legal framework to encourage greater foreign direct investment in both countries.

The tax treaty resulting from this negotiation will be the first between the two nations. Before it can take effect, the treaty must be finalised, signed, and ratified.
