ZATCA urged VAT-registered businesses to submit their September and Q3 2026 tax returns by 31 October 2026, warning that late filing could attract penalties of 5% to 25% of the tax due to be declared.

Saudi Arabia’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has urged businesses subject to VAT to submit VAT returns for September and Q3 2026 by 31 October 2026.

The deadline applies to September returns for establishments whose annual supplies of goods and services exceed SAR 40 million and third-quarter returns for those whose annual supplies do not exceed SAR 40 million.

ZATCA advised businesses to file their returns and pay the tax due promptly through its app to avoid late filing penalties. Failure to submit returns within the prescribed period may result in a fine ranging from 5% to 25% of the tax that must be declared.

This announcement was made on 20 October 2026.
