Taiwan's Ministry of Finance has set 1 June 2026 as the deadline for individual and profit-seeking enterprise income tax returns for the 2025 tax year, with over 70% of expected filings already submitted.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) has announced the upcoming income tax return deadline for the year 2025.
As of 24 May 2026, 5,076,273 individual income tax returns have been filed, accounting for 72.7% of the total individual income tax returns filed during last year’s statutory filing period (6,982,963); and 839,108 profit-seeking enterprise annual income tax returns have been filed, accounting for 74.6% of the total profit-seeking enterprise income tax returns filed during last year’s statutory filing period (1,124,664).
The Ministry of Finance reminds taxpayers to file income tax returns by 1 June 2026. Taxpayers can conveniently file their tax returns via “The e-Filing and Tax Payment Service of the Ministry of Finance” online. Moreover, a variety of tax payment channels are available to facilitate the process of paying taxes.
The Ministry of Finance further states that in order to assist taxpayers filing their income tax returns, the National Taxation Bureau will extend its assistance service hours until 7 PM on 1 June. Taxpayers in need are encouraged to take advantage of this service and visit the National Taxation Bureau to file their tax returns.
