Bangladesh’s National Board of Revenue (NBR) has invited taxpayers, business organisations, and trade bodies to submit proposals for the 2026-27 fiscal year budget. Written submissions must be sent to the FBCCI by 15 March.

Bangladesh’s National Board of Revenue (NBR) has requested taxpayers, business organisations, trade bodies and other stakeholders to submit proposals for the 2026-27 fiscal year budget. The move is part of the board’s preparations to formulate a participatory and business-friendly budget.

The NBR said it has been developing revenue policies as part of the government’s overall budget framework and regularly consulting industrial and business associations, professional bodies, research institutions, and members of the intelligentsia.

The initiative is intended to make revenue mobilisation more meaningful, analytical, and representative by incorporating suggestions from all stakeholders.

Business chambers and associations have been asked to submit written proposals to the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) by 15 March 2026. A soft copy in NikoshBAN format should also be emailed directly to nbrbudget2026@gmail.com. Organisations not affiliated with any chamber may submit proposals directly to the NBR using the same email.

The NBR assured that all submissions will be considered and expressed hope that stakeholder cooperation will help produce a participatory, pro-people, industry- and business-oriented budget that balances fairness with revenue potential.
