The tax treaty between the two countries seeks to eliminate double taxation on income and prevent tax evasion.

Belarus and Jordan signed an income tax treaty during the Belarus-Africa Forum in Moscow on 16 December 2025.

The agreement seeks to eliminate double taxation on income and prevent tax evasion between Belarus and Jordan.

Before the signing, the President of Belarus issued Decree No. 433 on 15 December 2025, formally authorising the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to sign the treaty, replacing the earlier authority granted to the Ministry of Taxes and Duties under Decree No. 53 of 10 February 2025.

The agreement will take effect upon the exchange of ratification instruments by both countries.

Earlier, Belarus’s President Alexander Lukashenko authorised the negotiation and signing of an income tax treaty with Jordan on 11 February 2025.
