Congo ratified an income tax treaty with Turkey on 2 August 2025

The Parliament of the Republic of Congo ratified an income tax treaty with Turkey on 2 August 2025.

This follows after Turkey and Congo signed an income tax treaty on 14 November 2024.

The agreement aims to make Turkey and Congo more attractive for investors from both countries. The agreement specifies which country has the right to tax different types of income and outlines measures to prevent double taxation when income is taxable in both countries.

The treaty will come into force after ratification by the parliaments of both nations.
