The resolution outlines the guidelines for disabling current tax platforms to transition to the new “TRIBU-CR” system, which will take effect on 4 August 2025.
Costa Rica’s Tax Administration (DGT) issued Resolution No. MH-DGT-RES-0011-2025 on 11 July 2025, which was published in Special Edition N° 86 of the Official Gazette.
The resolution outlines the guidelines for disabling current tax platforms and the transition to the new tax system, TRIBU-CR, which will replace several existing platforms starting 4 August 2025.
The following platforms will be disabled as of July 18, 2025: EDDI-7, ATV, TRAVI, Declara7, DeclaraWeb, SIC, and the tax status inquiry system. Therefore, the TRIBU-CR will become the only platform for tax procedures and obligations.
During the transition, all deadlines for taxpayer procedures, requirements, refunds, and compensation requests are temporarily suspended.
Once TRIBU-CR is operational, all taxpayer procedures and deadlines will resume and must be handled through the system or as directed by the tax administration. Until then, in-person services will continue at regional offices, excluding those reliant on suspended systems.
