Puerto Rico’s Department of State announced on 12 August 2024, that it extended the deadline for filing the 2023 annual report  with audited financial statements to those corporations or legal entities that accepted the second extension to submit their annual report filings.

This extension was granted through Administrative Order No. 2024-02, taking into account the extensions previously provided by other tax agencies.

The new deadline to file annual reports with their audited financial statements is not set to 15 October, 2024.

The original deadline for the second extension to file these annual reports ended on 13 August, 2024.

In addition, Puerto Rico’s Municipal Revenue Collection Center announced it extended the deadline for filing personal property tax returns for the 2023 taxable year to 19 August 2024.

The due date for the first installment of estimated personal property tax for the 2024 taxable year has also been pushed to 19 August 19, 2024.

This extension, granted through Administrative Orders No. 2024-002 and 2024-003, is in response to the impacts of Tropical Storm Ernesto.
