Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI) declared a series of incentives for businesses engaged in the manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCBs).

These incentives include:

  • Up to eight years of exemption from corporate income tax.
  • Exemption from import duties on machinery.
  • Exemption from import duties on raw materials used in export production.
  • Additional non-tax benefits include the right to hire skilled workers and experts for investment-promoted activities and the right to own land.

The extended scope of PCB-related businesses also includes parties engaged in:

  • Production of raw materials for PCB manufacturing (such as copper-clad laminate, flexible copper-clad laminate, and prepreg).
  • Support services for PCB manufacturing, including lamination, drilling, plating, and routing.
  • Manufacturing of materials like dry films, transfer films, and backup boards.
