Budget for the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has increased from N1.5 billion to N2.5 billion in the 2020 budget. They have a plan to raise the VAT registration threshold to N25m turnover per annum, to bring relief to smallest businesses. Senate President guaranteed that committees of both chambers of the National Assembly will conclude work on the 2020 budget estimate before the end of October. The chamber of the House of Representatives is being used by the lawmakers to receive the budget.
