On 17 January 2017, through a press release published by the Vietnamese government, Vietnam has approved the amending protocol to a treaty between India and Vietnam. The treaty (India-Vietnam) was signed on 3 September 2016 for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
