The Ministry of Economy and Finance has reduced customs duty exemption thresholds for personal imports to USD 1,000 by air and USD 500 by rail or river, while allowing up to 65 grams of jewellery worth up to USD 2,000 to be imported without restrictions.
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Economy and Finance has reduced customs duty exemption thresholds for products imported for personal use: by air, from USD 2,000 to USD 1,000; and by rail and river, from USD 1,000 to USD 500.
The restrictions on importing jewellery have been lifted, allowing up to 65 grams valued at no more than USD 2,000.
New customs-duty-free thresholds for individuals include up to 3 pieces of perfume or eau de toilette (max 300 ml) and revised limits for tobacco products: 200 cigarettes, 5 cigars, or 10 grams of tobacco.
These duty-free rules do not apply if the individual has stayed abroad for less than 2 days (via railway, river, or road checkpoints), less than 3 days (via international airports), or has travelled abroad 3 or more times within a calendar month.
