President-elect Donald Trump has repeated his intention to raise import tariffs on US multinational companies that move their production abroad and then sell products back into the United States. He has given his opinion during a press conference on January 11, 2017 his first since Presidential the election.
Trump has threatened to raise tariffs on goods made by American companies overseas and re-imported back into the U.S. for sale. He has suggested that he tends to impose a 35 percent tariff on the imports, and has particularly attacked US trading arrangements with Mexico under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
