The United Nations announced the initiation of a public consultation on the preparation of the proposal for the zero draft terms of reference for a framework on international tax cooperation.
The proposal intends to establish a system of governance for international tax cooperation and ensure fairness in the allocation of taxing rights under the international tax system.
The deadline for Member States and other stakeholders to send written comments to is 21 June, 2024, at 5:00 PM EDT, with a strict word-limit of 2,000 words per submission (as per the Committee’s outline and modalities of its work).
The Bureau of the Ad Hoc Committee to Draft Terms of Reference for a United Nations Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation released the proposal on 7 June, 2024.
