On 9 September 2021, the National Bank of Ukraine has decided to increase its key policy rate from 8% to 8.5% per annum with effect from 10 September 2021. The interest rate has a tax effect on the late tax payment interest and penalties which is equal to 120% of the National Bank rate and also increase in the penalty interest rate from 9.6% to 10.2% per annum.
