Austria and United Arab Emirates On 1 March 2023, the amending protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Austria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will enter into force. The protocol generally applies from 1 January 2023.
Azerbaijan and Japan On 27 December 2022, the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Azerbaijan and Japan was signed, in Baku. The DTA contains withholding tax rates for Dividends 7%, Interest 7%, Royalties 7%. Once in force and effective, the new DTA will replace the former Treaty of 1986.
Latvia and Russia On 23 December 2022, the government of Russia approved a proposal for the denunciation of the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Latvia.
Andorra and Croatia On 22 December 2022, Andorra gazetted the law ratifying the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Croatia for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
Ivory Coast and Turkey On 21 December 2022, the Ivory Coast Council of Ministers approved the ratification of the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Turkey.
Albania and Finland On 20 December 2022, Finland signed a law ratifying the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Albania.
Iraq and Turkey On 20 December 2022, the Iraqi Council of Ministers announced the approval of the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Turkey.
Belgium and Luxembourg On 12 December 2022, the Belgian Chamber of Representatives approved the amending protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Luxembourg.
Korea, Rep Of and Turkey On 8 December 2022, the National Assembly of Korea (Rep.) ratified the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Turkey. Once in force and effective, the new DTA will replace the former Treaty of 1983.
Andorra and Hungary On 8 December 2022, the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Andorra and Hungary entered into force. The DTA contains withholding tax rates for Dividends 0% if the beneficial owner is a company; otherwise, 10%, Interest 0%, Royalties 5%. The DTA applies from 1 January 2023.
Austria and Korea, Rep Of On 8 December 2022, the National Assembly of Korea (Rep.) ratified the amending protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Austria.
Ivory Coast and Qatar On 7 December 2022, the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Ivory Coast and Qatar was signed for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
Croatia and US On 7 December 2022, the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Croatia and the United States (US) was signed for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
Colombia and Uruguay On 6 December 2022, the Uruguayan Senate approved the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Colombia. The DTA contains withholding tax rates for Dividends 5% for at least 20% capital holding; otherwise, 15%, Interest 15%, Royalties 10%, and Fees for technical services 10%.
Luxembourg and Romania On 6 December 2022, Luxembourg and Romania signed an amending protocol to update the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between them.
Ethiopia and Switzerland On 5 December 2022, the Swiss upper house of parliament approved the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Ethiopia.
Armenia and Switzerland On 5 December 2022, the Swiss upper house of parliament approved the amending protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Armenia.
Bulgaria and Germany On 2 December 2022, Bulgaria issued the decree for the ratification of the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Germany.
Qatar and Ukraine On 2 December 2022, Ukrainian Cabinet approved the amending protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Qatar.
Andorra and Monaco On 1 December 2022, the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Andorra and Monaco was signed in Lodz. The DTA was signed by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and Maria Ubach Font, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Andorra on the margins of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Ministerial Council in Poland.
Andorra and Iceland On 1 December 2022, the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Andorra and Iceland was signed for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
Luxembourg and Rwanda On 30 November 2022, Luxembourg ratified the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Rwanda for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
Ghana and Luxembourg On 30 November 2022, Luxembourg ratified the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Ghana.
Kyrgyzstan and Slovak Republic On 30 November 2022, the government of the Slovak Republic approved to sign the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Kyrgyzstan.
Guernsey and Poland On 23 November 2022, the Polish Council of Ministers approved the amending protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Guernsey.
Ireland and Isle of Man The amending protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Ireland and Isle of Man has entered into force. The protocol generally applies from 6 April 2023 for Isle of Man and from 1 January 2023 for Ireland.
Belarus and Ukraine According to Law No. 2743-IX of Ukraine, the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Belarus was terminated, which entered into force on 11 December 2022. As per the terms of the treaty, the termination would apply from 1 January 2024, at the earliest, if the notice of termination is given by the end of June 2023.
Oman and Qatar The Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Oman and Qatar has entered into force. The DTA contains withholding tax rates for Dividends 0% for at least 20% capital holding; otherwise, 5%, Interest 0%, Royalties 8% and Fees for Technical Services 8%. The DTA applies from 1 January 2023.
