The National Taxation Bureau of the Northern Area has announced proactive measures to support businesses affected by the 3 April, 2024, Hualien earthquake.
In response to the significant impact on tourism-related industries and operational conditions of businesses in the region, the Bureau will lower assessed sales amounts and business taxes for eligible entities in Hualien.
Businesses outside Hualien subject to business tax assessments and are unable to operate due to the earthquake are encouraged to apply for deductions.
Applications can be submitted online or to the respective tax office. For inquiries, individuals can contact the toll-free hotline (0800-000-321).
