The amending protocol to the tax treaty between Serbia and Hungary has entered into force.
The Serbian Official Gazette made the announcement on 18 March 2025. It stated that the protocol to the 2001 double tax agreement (DTA) between Hungary and the former Yugoslavia, as it applies to Serbia, came into effect on 29 December 2024.
Hungary and Serbia signed an amending protocol on 8 October 2024 in Budapest, which was the first amendment to the protocol.
Earlier, Serbia published the Law of 11/28/24 in its Official Gazette ratifying the protocol on 3 December 2024. The President of Hungary also enacted Law No. XLV of 2024, ratifying the amending protocol to the agreement.
