The Saudi Arabia – Slovak Republic Income Tax Treaty (2023) will become effective starting 1 August, 2024, with provisions generally applying from 1 January, 2025, concerning withholding and other taxes.
The treaty was initially signed on 13 November, 2023, marking the first of its kind between the two nations.
The Saudi Cabinet gave its stamp of approval for the ratification of the income tax treaty with the Slovak Republic on 14 May, 2024.
The treaty signifies Saudi Arabia’s growing economic ties with Europe and its commitment to creating a more attractive business environment for foreign investors.
