The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) released on September 22, 2014, goals to support developing countries in executing the new global standard for the automatic exchange of tax information.
Finance Ministers of the Group of Twenty (G-20) and Governors of the Central Bank in their September 2014 statement had tasked the OECD’s Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes to work with international and regional organizations to implement the Roadmap. It has been drawn up on the basis of extensive consultation with developing countries, the World Bank Group, other international organizations, and civil society organizations and sets out a step-by-step approach to ensure developing countries can overcome obstacles to implementation.
