A regional meeting of the Inclusive Framework on base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) for Eastern Europe and Central Asia was held in Armenia on 7 to 9 November 2018. Delegates from sixteen countries, international and regional organisations as well as business, civil society and academic institutions attended the regional meeting. This was part of a series of regional meetings that offer participants the opportunity to put forward their views and provide input into the work of the Inclusive Framework on BEPS from a regional perspective.

The Inclusive Framework is implementing the monitoring process for the four minimum standards under BEPS and the review mechanisms for other parts of the BEPS package.  The Inclusive Framework is also involved in developing various toolkits to assist developing countries in BEPS implementation.

The regional meetings of the Inclusive Framework offer an opportunity for countries in each region to share experiences and discuss the challenges posed by BEPS implementation. This information can then be used by the Inclusive Framework in planning further work, capacity building or toolkits on practical implementation of BEPS measures. The process allows non-OECD countries provide useful input into the BEPS follow-up, monitoring and implementation work.
