Norway’s parliament approved the amending protocol to the 2009 income tax treaty with Qatar on 25 March 2025.
The protocol, signed on 4 September 2024, is the first amendment to the agreement. It will take effect 30 days after ratification instruments are exchanged and apply from 1 January of the following year.
Earlier, Qatar’s Council of Ministers ratified the amending protocol to the income tax treaty with Norway on 23 October 2024.
