On 17 June, 2024, the Netherlands tax authority, in a release, reminded businesses that the old tax portal for managing tax affairs will be permanently closed on 1 July, 2024. All entrepreneurs who still use the old portal must switch to the new My Tax Authorities Business portal, accounting software, or a tax service provider.
The announcement also highlighted that on 1 July, 2024, entrepreneurs from outside the European Union (EU) will no longer be able to submit VAT declarations for the EU VAT one-stop shop system. Entrepreneurs can find the forms for the VAT return and ICP statement, the dividend tax refund, and the EU VAT notification on My Tax Authorities Business.
As such, businesses are strongly encouraged to transition to the new Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk portal before the deadline.
