Netherlands’ Council of Ministers ratified the protocol amending the 2000 income tax treaty with Moldova.
Signed on 4 September 2023, this is the first amendment to the tax treaty.
This income tax treaty between the Netherlands and Moldova aims to avoid double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion concerning taxes on income and capital.
Earlier, on 24 November 2023, the Moldovan parliament approved the amending protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with the Netherlands. On 5 December 2023, Moldova ratified the amending protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with the Netherlands.
The protocol will take effect on the last day of the month following the exchange of ratification instruments and will apply from 1 January 2025.
