Morocco and Kenya met on 26 May 2025 to discuss economic cooperation and a first-ever income tax treaty.
Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on 26 May 2025 that Moroccan and Kenyan officials met to advance economic cooperation and discuss an income tax treaty.
The talks underscore both nations’ efforts to strengthen economic ties and promote cross-border investment through formal tax arrangements.
The proposed agreement would mark the first income tax treaty between the two countries.
Any resulting treaty must be finalised, signed, and ratified before it can enter into force.
