Morocco and Chad have signed an income tax treaty on 14 August, 2024. This agreement is the first between the two nations.

The tax treaty was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Chadians Abroad and International Cooperation, Government Spokesman, Abderaman Koulamallah.

The treaty seeks to eliminate double taxation and combat tax evasion between the two African nations.

It will take effect following the exchange of ratification instruments.
