Montenegro has approved plans to negotiate a tax treaty with Iceland and appointed its negotiation delegation.
Montenegro’s government announced its approval of a plan to begin talks on an income and capital tax agreement with Iceland on 5 June 2025. The government also named the officials who will lead the negotiation team.
This treaty would be the first of its kind between Montenegro and Iceland. It must be finalized, signed, and ratified by both countries before entering into force.
