The treaty will enter into force after the exchange of ratification instruments.
The government of Montegnero has authorised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to sign the tax treaty with Iceland. The decision was announced in a report on the conclusion of negotiations between the two nations.
Earlier, Iceland and Montenegro concluded their first round of negotiations for an income and capital tax treaty in Podgorica on 5 June 2025. Talks took place from 3 to 5 June 2025, and agreement was reached on all articles.
