Moldova and Bangladesh have agreed to step up talks on a double taxation agreement, focusing on investment protection and expanding economic cooperation. Deputy PM Mihai Popșoi and Ambassador Shahnaz Gazi held discussions to strengthen bilateral relations and finalise key draft agreements.
Moldova and Bangladesh have agreed to negotiate for a bilateral tax treaty aimed at preventing double taxation and promoting investment protection 18 February 2026.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi met with Bangladeshi Ambassador Shahnaz Gazi to discuss expanding economic cooperation and strengthening the legal framework. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to finalising draft agreements and intensifying dialogue on areas of mutual interest.
If an agreement is reached, the treaty must be finalised, signed, and ratified by both nations before it can enter into force.
