Lithuania consults on updated EU tax information rules.

The Lithuanian Ministry of Finance (MoF) opened a public consultation on 17 November 2025, proposing changes to Order No. VA-114, which regulates mutual assistance and the exchange of tax information with EU Member States.

The amendments are designed to align national rules with the EU’s Amending Directive 2023/2226 (DAC8), modernising procedures and broadening the types of information exchanged.

The draft order, released by the State Tax Inspectorate, updates definitions, clarifies exchange procedures, and strengthens requirements for automatic information sharing. It covers income data, financial information, and advanced cross-border tax rulings and pricing arrangements, while reinforcing deadlines and procedural safeguards.

The consultation will remain open until 28 November 2025.
