Kazakhstan ratifies investment pact with Turkmenistan

Kazakhstan’s President has signed a law ratifying the Kazakhstan – Turkmenistan Investment Protection Agreement ( IPA) on 19 September 2025.

An investment protection agreement is a treaty between two countries designed to promote and protect foreign investments made by nationals and companies of one country in the territory of the other.

The Kazakhstani gave its approval to the agreement on 21 May 2025, followed by endorsement from the Senate on 4 September 2025.
