In a move set to boost international economic relations, Kazakh Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov signed Decree No. 404, empowering Finance Minister Madi Takiev to finalise an income and capital tax treaty with Oman.
Earlier, Kazakhstan’s government issued Decree No. 404, modifying Government Decree No. 994 dated 20 November 2023, which authorised the negotiation of an income and capital tax treaty with Oman.
A public consultation on the treaty’s provisions was conducted in April, emphasising transparency and public participation in the policymaking process.
This agreement will signify the first tax treaty between the two nations.
