Japan and Monaco continue talks on a bilateral tax treaty during diplomatic engagements in Osaka.
Monaco’s Acting Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Ms Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, visited Japan alongside Monaco Day celebrations at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai on 28 June 2025.
This announcement was made by the Government of Monaco on 25 June 2025.
In Tokyo, she met with Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hisayuki Fujii, to discuss bilateral relations, global affairs, and the ongoing negotiations on the double tax agreement.
Ms Berro-Amadeï also held talks with Japan International Cooperation Agency President Akihiko Tanaka on development partnerships in healthcare, education, and child welfare.
Additionally, she met Nippon Foundation Chairman Yohei Sasakawa to explore cooperation on aid projects benefiting vulnerable populations in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond.
