Italy’s tax authorities have issued Circular No. 8/E on 19 June 2025, clarifying tax credits for property refurbishment, energy efficiency, and seismic risk reduction, as amended by Law No. 207/2024 (2025 Budget Law).
Taxpayers can take advantage of tax credits for qualifying expenses, with rates set at 36% (50% for first dwellings) for expenses incurred in 2025. For expenses incurred in 2026 and 2027, the tax credit rates are 30% (36% for first dwellings).
