Italy’s tax authorities have approved the forms that qualifying enterprises must submit to claim the tax credit for investments in simplified logistics zones (ZLS) under Law Decree No. 202/2024.

The regulations are detailed in Protocol No. 153474/2025,  issued on 27 March 2025.

Qualifying entities can claim a tax credit for investments in specific new business assets purchased between 1 January and 15 November 2025 in qualifying ZLS. To apply, the qualifying enterprises must submit to the tax authorities a complete form listing the investments between 22 May and 23 June 2025, followed by a supplementary form confirming the investments between 20 November and 2 December 2025.

Earlier, the SLZs were established through Prime Ministerial Decree No. 40, issued on 4 March 2024, which went into effect on 17 April 2024.

ZLSs are an initiative by the Italian government designed to drive economic growth and enhance logistics development in alignment with EU directives. These zones are focused on attracting investment, fostering industrial expansion, and improving transportation efficiency across the country.
