The Hungarian government has rejected OECD proposals for major tax reforms, covering a new property tax as well as energy, environmental, inheritance and wealth taxes. The Minister of Economic Strategy has said that tax reform is complete and no significant changes are necessary. While there had been some extra taxes in 2010 and 2011 in order to maintain fiscal balance, these have been replaced by consumption taxes.
