This is the first income tax treaty between the two jurisdictions.
Guernsey approved the 2024 income tax treaty with Bahrain through the income tax Ordinance that formalised the agreement on 3 September 2025.
The treaty, signed on 29 September 2024, is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions.
Earlier, Bahrain approved the law for the ratification of the income tax treaty with Guernsey on 23 April 2025.
