The Public Revenue Authority has published a press release regarding new online application for filing tonnage tax returns of category A vessels on 14th February 2017. The Director of the Public Revenue Authority is projected to issue a decision allowing tonnage tax returns to be submitted by using the new online application. Some characteristics of category A vessels need to be present for the new online application for filing tonnage tax returns. These are (i) Greek-flagged vessels profiting from Tonnage Taxation Law 27/1975 (ii) Non-Greek EU/EEA-flagged vessels benefiting from Tonnage Taxation Law 27/1975 (iii) Greek-flagged vessels facilitating from both article 13 of Legislative Decree 2687/1953 and Tonnage Taxation Law 27/1975 and (iv) Foreign-flagged vessels benefiting simultaneously from article 13 of Legislative Decree 2687/1953 and Tonnage Taxation Law 27/1975.
