AADE issued tax IDs to more than 1.16 million children.
Greece’s Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has completed its latest programme to automatically assign Tax Identification Numbers (AFM) to minors.
The announcement was made on 5 November 2025.
Under this initiative, 42,975 children received an AFM, bringing the total number of minors with automatically assigned tax IDs to over 1,169,000. This marks the third phase of the programme.
The automated system eliminates the need for parents or guardians to apply in person. Notifications are sent directly via email and through the myAADE digital portal and app. AADE attributes the programme’s success to the use of interoperability services with other national registries. Additional information and support are available through AADE’s official channels.
